Overwhelmed

I am very overwhelmed this month...and we aren't even half way through. I feel so motivated to do well....yet I have managed to get so far off track. I am so inspired by the wonderful people on this site...yet I feel like I don't belong.

I know it takes time to learn new habits. And I know that the decision to do better has to count for something.

So....do I just count May out and consider it a flop and start over in June?

    Don't belong? Pishaw. Just wipe the slate clean and start over again tomorrow. Every one of us has gone through some not so stellar financial times on this site.

    Agreed. If you need a do over, just start tomorrow. Waiting for next week or next month or next year is just waiting...

    Of course you belong here! We've all been overwhelmed, its a big job to take control of your finances, especially when EVERYBODY else is trying to keep you out of control (because you spend more that way). Remember that tomorrow is the next day, another day to do better. Not perfect, just better. It will come.

    Remember that there isn't a "type" of person on these blogs... people come from all sorts of backgrounds and that leads to there being a lot to learn from each other. It also means that everyone who is trying "belongs" here, and it's not going to be perfect initially. Hang in there, and take some solace in the insurance that you will make progress over time... you can do it!
