Target Red Card?

Anyone using the Target Red Debit Card? I'm tempted because of free shipping and 5% discount. But am a little leary of linking my checking account to it. Anyone have good or bad experiences?

    I use the credit card. Same benefits but you have to pay a credit card bill. But, at least you get to review the charges before you pay.

    I also have the credit card for Target. I've had it before the debit card was available. I've been tempted by the debit card, but I'm leery as well.

    I have the debit card and haven't had any problems with it. The purchases usually take three or four days to post to the account, same as refunds. I use it at least twice a month, and more closer to Christmas. Very happy with it!

    I've also got the credit one because I do not like debit cards in general (linking to my checking funds). Just to say that I agree with being leery.

    I haven't had any issues with the debit card but I linked it to a secondary account I keep limited funds in.

    I've had the debit card since 2008, and have had absolutely no problems at all. Purchases take about 3 days to post to my checking account.

    What do you see as a benefit of having/using the new Target debit card? What do you see as detriment or problem? If you're a regular/major Target shopper, would you consider opening a 'dedicated' bank account to link this particular card? It's a simple couple of computer key strokes to transfer $$$ from one account to another, even to other institutions. If yu wanted to try out services of a CU for example this might be a good experiment.
